On Friday 15th March, Form V headed to the dreaming spires of Oxford to learn more about their history topic, the Shang Dynasty.
We spent the morning with a museum guide who showed us different artefacts and the children had the opportunity to discuss what the objects might have been used for. They held various objects, a seal, silk, bronze and jade objects and a block of tea. We looked at a large screen showing daily life in Ancient China and talked about what sounds we might have heard.
The children even had the opportunity to learn about Chinese writing, numbers and learnt a Chinese song. During the afternoon, we looked at traditional Chinese clothing and explored the museum. We had a lovely day out at the Ashmolean. Well done Form V!Previous
