This term, Reception are learning about ‘People Who Help Us’. We’ve had a very busy week with several visitors who have talked to the children about their jobs and how they can help people.
On Wednesday, Ellie and Amar from Haddenham Dental surgery talked to the children about their job as a dentist. They explained what the children must do to keep their teeth nice and healthy, and showed them how they should brush their teeth.
On Thursday Dr “Libby” (Edward and Charlotte’s mummy) came to talk to the children about her job as a GP. The children were fascinated to learn what all of the different items in her Doctor’s bag were used for, and practised using them in different role play situations. Many thanks to Dr Symmonds for giving up her time to come and talk to the children.
Mrs Dean visited Early Years this week and told the children the story about the “Good Samaritan”, and relayed the important message that we should always help each other. Many thanks to Mrs Dean for sharing this important message with the children.
