Harvest Festival

On Monday, we held our Harvest Assembly at school. Using the letters from the word HARVEST we thought about some of the reasons that we still celebrate harvest nowadays. We remembered that we have to be grateful for all of the things that we HAVE, and for all of the wonderful things we are able to EAT. We thought a little about those people in the world that may STARVE as they don’t have enough food and I also explained how, by making our own harvest collection, we would be able to SHARE our good fortune with others in the local community who are not as lucky as us. The children also shared some wonderful harvest songs they have been learning with Mrs Rimmer in their music lessons. Thank you to all of the families that contributed towards the magnificent collection.
