Form V & VI Science

Form VI have been learning more about dissolving this term in their science lessons. Their recent practical work has involved them planning and carrying out investigations to find out which variables affect the rate of the dissolving of sugar in water. Different groups tried changing the temperature of the water, the number of stirs they used, the volume of water used and also whether there was a difference between icing sugar, caster sugar or cube sugar. They planned and carried out their fair tests and recorded the time taken for the sugar to dissolve.
