Form III Greek Workshop

Last Friday, Form III had an ancient Greece workshop. The children came to school looking fabulous in their Greek costumes and were thoroughly excited about the day ahead.

To begin the day ‘Theo’ our workshop leader taught us about democracy. He was impressed with the children’s knowledge from their lessons. He then discussed the battle of Marathon and got children to re-enact this, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

In the afternoon, the children then got to try on some armour that Greek soldiers wore. They were amazed at how heavy it was. They then learnt about the Olympics and participated in their own Olympic games.

All in all the children had a fun packed day. Theo the workshop leader was extremely impressed by all the children and said they were by far the best set of Greeks he had taught all year.  Well done Form III.
