On Monday, it was Form II’s turn to take assembly. This term in our history lessons, we have been learning about the Great Fire of London.
Inspired by this great historic event, the children took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm to retell the story of the fire.
The children took it in turns to tell their audience different facts they have learnt about the fire. They then demonstrated how water was passed from one person to another in leather buckets to try and put out the fire. We even had some ‘flames’ (orange tissue paper) to dowse with our ‘water’ (buckets of blue tissue paper). The assembly ended with the children performing the nursery rhyme ‘London’s Burning’ in a round.
Well done Form II, I am very proud of you all for such a brilliant performance.
