In Form III we have been learning about measurement. We began by learning about metres and centimetres. One of our groups measured different objects and ordered them from shortest in length to the longest.
Another group estimated and measure different body parts. Whereas, our final group investigated the hypothesis ‘The tallest person will have the longest legs.’ They began by estimating who would have the longest legs and predictably arranged themselves in order of tallest to shortest. They then measured each other’s leg lengths and arranged themselves according to these results. They were shocked to find out that just because you are the tallest that doesn’t mean you necessarily have the longest legs.
Form III are looking forward to continuing their learning about measurement next week.
